Darlington Indoor Bowls Club opened in 1980 on the site of the original North Road Locomotive Works and close to the first passenger railway station in the world. In 2012 the playing surface was replaced after a successful bid for lottery funding from Sport England.
New bowlers of all ages are always welcome and you can have a free, no-obligation, ‘taster’ session if you’ve not tried bowls before – just call in or contact the club to arrange a suitable time or watch out for our advertised open days.
The club has an active junior section for young bowlers aged 6-18 with free weekly tuition sessions throughout the season.
Darlington Indoor Bowls Club is a Registered Charity
